Kyle Busch Wins Another, His 8th of the Season. Kyle Chooses Lincoln!
Kyle Busch, driver of the No. 18 M&M's Toyota, led the three-car Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) contingent at the Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International road course by winning Sunday's Centurion at The Glen NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. It was Busch's 12th career victory, his series-high eighth of the season and his first at Watkins Glen.
Busch became the first driver since Tony Stewart in 2005 to sweep both road course races in a season. In June, Busch won at the road course in Sonoma, Calif.

Robotic Welding Gives Chrysler and Dodge Motorsports a Competitive Edge in NASCAR Car of Tomorrow
Chrysler installed a Fanuc/Lincoln Electric® robotic welding cell to speed up production time and weld quality on the NASCAR Car of Tomorrow (COT) car kits it constructs for its Dodge Motorsports teams. The company realized a 75-percent reduction in production time, which also translated into about a 50-percent cost savings for the teams.
Launched by NASCAR in 2006, the COT is a new universal car design being used by all teams. It is meant to level the playing field, includes improved safety features and provides for more cost effective maintenance.

NHRA Drag Racing Legends, John Force and Ashley Force, Visit Lincoln Electric
National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) 14-time Nitro Funny Car champion John Force and his rising star Funny Car driving daughter, Ashley Force, visited Lincoln Electric on June 26, 2008.
John Force is the most prolific winner in NHRA history with 179 career victories and 1,004 round-wins. He won a championship every year during the 1990s except in 1992, and then added more titles in '00, '01, '02, '04 and '06.
Ashley Force, the first female to win an NHRA Funny Car event, is quickly catching up to her iconic father in fan popularity and on the track. Voted in 2007 as AOL Sports' "Hottest Athlete", Ashley is in her second year driving the Castrol GTX Ford Mustang and has proved that she can drive with the best of them. She is currently second in the point standings in the NHRA Countdown To The Championship.
